Which scraper is right for you?
Spotted on the scrap market is a new scraper called TileScrapper that allows scrapers to add an image to their website without a physical link to the source material.
TileScraper was designed by Matt Hirsch and it looks to be an interesting entry in the burgeoning field of scrap photography.
Tile Scrapper uses HTML5 to embed images on your website.
That means you’ll have to use a HTML5 compatible browser to access the scraper.
It works on any website that supports HTML5, including websites that use the HTML5-compliant browsers Chrome and Firefox.
Tile’s tagline is “Scrapping with HTML5”, so it’s definitely not a cheap alternative to some of the more popular scraper tools.
However, it doesn’t come with a ton of features that are essential to scrapers like a dedicated scraper tagline, a search bar or even a dedicated gallery for all your scraped images.
Tile has some of its own unique features that make it worth checking out, like it works offline, so it won’t cause your scrap files to be lost or corrupted in the event you move your website to a different location.
